Organized by the Future Stars Academy, the East African Soccer Tournament, known as ‘Chipkizi Cup,’ has been taking place in Arusha for a total of 14 years now and counting.
This year, the participants are expected to come from as far as Spain, Dubai, Kenya, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South-Africa, Canada, Switzerland, Netherlands and the United States of America (USA).
According to the Arusha Volleyball Association Secretary, the region essentially has more than ten volleyball clubs with the exception of three, the rest are not registered.
As per the directives of the Tanzania Football Federation, the Arusha Regional League has been ordered that it should be youth focused and that all players must be of the age of 20 years and below.
The second selection comes up in September 2023 while the final filtering exercise is expected to take place later in December, during the forthcoming annual East African Soccer tourney the ‘Chipkiz Cup 2023,' to be held in Arusha.
Usually it is soccer, netball or volleyball that color regional sports tournaments, but for the case of East Africa Cup 2023, it is Chess which slowly but surely took the driving seat.

They are in preparation for a number of sporting events including the Mainland National League for People with Disabilities, the forthcoming Taifa Cup as well as Ndondo Football Cup 2023
