Ugandans are the most intelligent people in East Africa, as Libya leads on the continent. Report claims.

Ugandans are the most intelligent people in East Africa, according to the recently updated report on ‘Intelligence of Nations,’ compiled by Richard Lynn and David Becker.

According to the study, Ugandans have an average Intelligent Quotient score of 76.42, beating the other six East African Community Member States but ranking at Number 7 on the continent.

Kenya, with an IQ score of 75.20 and Tanzania (74.01) are the other two East African nations that have managed to make it into the top 15 list.

The compilation of Africa’s Most Intelligent People by Average IQ has on the other hand placed the residents of Libya in the first slot as the most intelligent people on the continent with a score of 90.92.

There were uproars of protest from the continent’s loudest nations, that is Nigeria and South Africa that are conspicuously missing from the list of 15 most intelligent countries in Africa.

The other concern arose from the people of Ethiopia who believe their country deserves to be in list of clever people on the continent.

Apart from Libya which leads the pack, the other African countries that have made it into the top-ten list of most intelligent nations include Mauritius (86.56), Tunisia (79.22), Sudan (78.87) and Seychelles (78.76) in the Top-Five.

The rest are Madagascar (76.79); Uganda (76.42); Egypt (76.32); Algeria (76.00) and Kenya (75.20), closing the top-ten listing of countries with high IQs in Africa.

Others deserving mention are Angola at Number 11 with an average IQ score of (75.1); Tanzania ranking on the 12th position with 74.95, followed by Zimbabwe (74.01); Burkina Faso (73.80) and Mozambique with an average score of 72.50.

A synopsis of the Richard Lynn and David Becker updated publication of IQs for all nations in the world indicate that the scores range from an average of 69 in sub-Saharan Africa to 105 in Northeast Asia.

In addition, they summarize studies of the genetic and climatic causes of these IQ differences and also of their numerous educational, economic, sociological and demographic effects.

They conclude by discussing the future of national IQs and argue that dysgenic fertility and immigration will reduce intelligence in the United States and Europe, leaving China to emerge as the world super-power in the second half of the twenty-first century.
