Russia throws its doors open for Travelers from Tanzania

The Government of Russian Federation has lifted all restrictions previously imposed onto travellers from Tanzania. Russia is throwing open its front doors allowing Tanzanians to enter the country freely and at will.

A statement from the Russian Embassy in Dar-es-Salaam is to the effect that, the Eastern Europe country, currently at war with Ukraine, has lifted all restrictions previously imposed on travellers from the East African country.

“All entry restrictions imposed on Tanzanian citizens and residents have been lifted,” reads part of the official statement from the Russian Embassy in the country.

There is also an attachment to support the statement quoting the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 868-r of April 14, 2022, affirming the lifting of entry restrictions for Tanzanians wanting to travel to Moscow.

Apparently, all categories of travelers from Tanzania are now allowed to enter into the territory of Russian Federation without any limitations.

Tanzanians entering Russia will have to produce a medical certificate with negative Covid-19 test based on RT-PCR method, using sample collected within 72 hours before arriving in Moscow.

A few weeks ago the Tanzania Times reported that Russia was planning to establish ‘Sister City,’ relations with Arusha and Moshi municipality of Tanzania, in order to boost tourim between the two countries.
