Jakaya Kikwete’s Handwritten Letter to President Museveni trends online

In this digital age, it is not always that one comes across a handwritten note.

It is also quite difficult to seen one scribed neatly.

Or a note from a former Head of State for that matter…

…To a sitting president.

Which explains why the scribbled letter of appreciation from the former Tanzanian President, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, to the Ugandan Head of State, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is such a sensation on social media platforms.

It was Museveni who shared the letter on his Twitter handler and it is now making rounds online like crazy.

Jakaya Kikwete, who led Tanzania from 2005 to 2015, expressed gratitude to President Museveni for being quite helpful in sharing his expertise in Agriculture.

To which the Ugandan leader replied;

‘My brother HE Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, thank you so much for this wonderful message. I appreciate and wish you and your team success in the forthcoming Africa Green Revolution Forum 2021.’

Kikwete, had travelled to Kampala last Thursday, August 26 when he paid courtesy call to the Ugandan President using the opportunity to invite Museveni to the African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) Summit 2021, running from the 7th to the 10th of September 2021, in Nairobi, Kenya.
