There is a serious and growing outbreak of the illness in the Democratic Republic of Congo, that has now expanded outside the country to as far as Burundi and recently Kenya.

DR Congo and Burundi directly border Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan, thus raising health concern in the community
