New Season for National Women Premier Soccer League runs Until May 2024

The New Season of the National Women Premier Football League for the mainland Tanzania which kicked off last Month, plays all the way to May 2024.

The soccer event started with the inaugural matches to be played between, Bunda Queens of Musoma and JKT Queens of Dar-Es-salaam at Karume Stadium in Dar-es-salaam City on December 20, 2023.

On the same germinal date of the national soccer league, Simba Sports Club of Dar and Ceasiaa Queens from Iringa will be facing each other in the match to be played at the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Center in Kigamboni area.

Apparently, according to the timetable released by the TFF, there will be four matches during the maiden day of the new Serengeti Lite Women Premier League season 2024.

That includes the game between Alliance Girls of Mwanza, versus Geita Gold Queens from Geita to be played at Nyamagana Stadium in Mwanza as well as the one between Fountain Gate Princess of Dodoma against Amani Queens from Lindi at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.

A total of ten women soccer teams are participating in the new season of the mainland’s Serengeti Lite Premier League, which runs from December 2023 all the way to May 2024.

The Coach of Ceasiaa queens, Noah Kanyaga whose team is among the clubs that get to curtain raise the Premier league this month, said his ladies are ready for the match against Simba Sports and that he was confident that they will shine above other groups.

“The first match is the one which is set to show the direction of the new league season and Ceasiaa is the only team currently representing Iringa Region in the National Women Soccer competition,” stated Kanyaga. Ceasiaa Queens managed the 7th position in the previous season of the league.

The JKT Queens of Dar-es-salaam emerged the overall winners in the previous Serengeti Lite Women Premier League and the team returns as defending champions.

The Simba Queens, also from Dar, finished in the second slot, while the Fountain Gate of Dodoma managed the third position.

Other teams participating in the 2024 season of the league include, Yanga Princess from Dar and Baobab Queens of Dodoma that get to play on 21 December 2023 in their first match.
