National Service Team tops Women Soccer Premier League in Tanzania

The National Service team, known as JKT Queens is currently leading in the Mainland Women Premier League.

JKT Queens have amassed with 17 points, at the top spot so far, they are followed by Simba Queens with 16 points in the second position.

Apparently, the Fountain Gate Princess of Dodoma that also has 16 points but featuring lesser scores than Simba, is being ranked third in the ongoing National Women Soccer League.

The Serengeti Lite Women Premier league also placed the Young Africans, (Yanga Princess), with 14 points in fourth position.

The Alliance Girls with 10 points currently ranks fifth, while the Baobab Queens with 7 points is placed sixth, tying with Ceasiaa Queens also with 7 points but lesser goals.

Ceasiaa of Iringa is slated in the seventh position, having slightly dropped from its previous placement.

Tiger Queens of Arusha is struggling in the eighth position with just 4 points. Amani Queens from Lindi also hangs with 4 points but ranks in the Ninth position with fewer goals.

Meanwhile the Mkwawa Queens, also from Iringa, tag at Number 10 with a measly single point. 

On the other hand, following a draw match played against Fountain Gate Princess in Dodoma, the Ceasiaa queens are now bracing to face their fellow Iringa residents, the Mkwawa Queens.

Coming up on the 8th of February 2023, the Iringa Derby pitting the two Southern Highlands Queens, will be played at Mkwawa University grounds.

Ceasiaa queens in their ‘Away’ match on foreign grounds, drew a 0 – 0 match with Fountain Gate Princess during their game played at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma on the 1st of February 2023.

On the other hand, their nemesis, the Mkwawa Queens were beaten 3 – 0 by another Dodoma team, the Baobab Queens.

Now both Ceasiaa and Mkwawa are meeting on home grounds, on February 8, for the ultimate combat in the ongoing Serengeti Lite Women Premier League.

Other matches to be played on the same day, include the game between Amani Queens of Lindi against Alliance Girls from Mwanza at Ilulu grounds of Lindi and the one pitting JKT Queens versus Fountain Gate at Major Isamuhyo grounds in Dar-es-salaam.

Kayinda Mustafa a Ugandan National is the Chief Coach for Ceasiaa Queens. He explains that the previous game played away in Dodoma was one of the toughest for the team.

“At the moment we only need at least three points in order for the team to climb up to higher levels in the league,” Mustafa stated.

The National Service team of JKT Queens is currently leading in the Mainland Women Premier League, with 17 points, followed by Simba Queens with 16 points and Fountain Gate Princess also with 16 points but featuring lesser scores than Simba ranked third.
