Air France Plans Flights to Tanzania in 2023

Air France intends to commence new flights linking Paris to Dar-es-salaam City of Tanzania from June 2023.

The French National Carrier is announcing the direct Dar-Paris routes to officially take off on 12 June 2023.

Air France will be flying between Paris and Dar-es-salaam three times a week.

As of now, the airline is only flying to Zanzibar Isles.

Air France started flying to the Islands, twice a week in October 2021.

The flights to the Isles used to be channeled through the Nairobi City of Kenya.

Once the Paris to Dar-es-salaam route commences in June 2023, the previous trips to Zanzibar Island will be halted.

Air France will however continue to fly to Nairobi, Kenya, twice a week as usual, minus the Unguja connection.

The French Carrier decision to be landing in Dar-es-salaam three-times a week, may indicate that more passengers from Europe want direct flights to the Tanzanian mainland than Isles.

But for some travellers used to previous arrangements, they seem to be suggesting that the Zanzibar route should not be ended.

Instead, they prefer that the Zanzibar trips should be woven into those of Dar-es-salaam, which is what the other airlines such as Fly-Dubai seem to be doing at the moment.

Being the flag carrier of France, the airline is based in Tremblay-en-France.

The company is a subsidiary of the Air France–KLM Group.

Air France also happens to be a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance.

At the moment Air France serves 36 destinations in France alone.

The airline also operates worldwide scheduled passenger and cargo services to 176 destinations in nearly 80 countries.
