Representatives from nine United Nations' agencies and six priority countries, that is Afghanistan, Djibouti, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen are in the coalition.

Rehabilitation of 150 community facilities, including 30 schools, 45 youth centers, 14 health posts, 10 rural markets, and 33 water systems and providing immediate employment for 4,500 vulnerable youth and women

It includes modernizing and extending the electricity network and systems; increasing access to on-grid and off-grid electricity and clean cooking technologies; and strengthening technical and institutional capacity.

The new guidelines come at a critical moment as HIV prevention efforts stagnate with 1.3 million new HIV infections occurring in 2024 

Trachoma has been known in Senegal since the early 1900s and was confirmed as a major cause of blindness through surveys in the 1980s and 1990s.

Trachoma is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis and spreads through personal contact, contaminated surfaces and by flies that have been in contact with eye or nose discharge.

This vulnerability shows up in more extreme weather, worsening food insecurity, and growing Uncertainty —particularly harming women and young people.

The project mobilised the necessary resources to contribute to the sustainable transformation of the Cascades, Hauts Bassins and South-West regions, with significant participation from women.
