Toyota through the Corporation for Africa and Overseas arm of Kenya has honoured the celebrated globe cruising Malkit Prado.
It is the Land-Cruiser which covered the inter-continental continuous journey of more than 70,000 kilometres undertaken by the now famous over-lander, Malkit Singh Rooprah.
“This Toyota Prado has done a massive road trip of 70,000 kilometers and is not done yet,” reports Toyota via CFAO Motors of Kenya.
Around the World in How Many Days? It is an adventure which Jules Verne would have loved to experience.
“It has been driven all the way from the United Kingdom down to South Africa and has now come up to Nairobi, Kenya, The quality, durability and reliability of Toyota cannot be overstated.”
So the CFAO Motors of Nairobi hosted the celebrity traveller, Mr Malkit Singh Rooprah and his Toyota Prado J120 at CFAO Motors Kenya, located along Uhuru Highway in Nairobi.

Rooprah used the occasion to showcase the car and also mingled with a number of staff in addition to taking the tour of the premises including the CFAO Motors Kenya showroom and workshop.
Malkit was received by the Managing Director, CFAO Motors Kenya Arvinder Reel and the Deputy MD Toyota, Automark and Yamaha 2-wheel division Joshua Anya.
Malkit Singh Rooprai has driven across over 30 countries from London City in the United Kingdom, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa and eventually cruised into Kenya, after covering 70,000 kilometers in 7 months.
He drove his trademark blue Prado christened ‘Malaika,’ or angel.
Rooprai says it was always his dream to have such a trip from the UK to East Africa, an experience that has presented him with beautiful sceneries, history and cultures across both Europe and Africa.
Other than driving, Malkit became a journalist too; he would take scenic photos of all the destinations along the daring trip, pictures that are very usable in the media.
So why was he hosted at CFAO Motors in Nairobi?
In 2022 Toyota Kenya Limited rebranded to CFAO Motors to enhance its value proposition in the automotive market.
Ten years earlier in 2012, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) acquired the Corporation for Africa & Overseas (CFAO)
Based in France, TTC later formed an African Division with all operations in Africa reporting to CFAO Paris.
