Mandeep Singh Returns with a Bang in Guru Nanak Rally

Dhani is firing a warning shot at Guru Nanak rivals! Or is he?

Mandeep Singh, the ace rally driver from Kilimanjaro knows exactly what he wants and this is to shower dusty clouds to all other motorists who will be racing in the Arusha Guru Nanak Rally.

Banking on the skills of his experienced co-driver Awadh Bafadhil, Mandeep Singh Dhani is firing a warning shot to his rivals as he announces a dramatic comeback to the cross-country motor racing, down the dusty terrains of Monduli, assuming it doesn’t rain in Arusha soon.

Dhani will be racing behind the wheel of his trusty Subaru Impreza My03.

As it happens, Mandeep Singh is one of the surprise entries in the Guru Nanak Rally, the event that serves as the fourth round of this year’s National Rally Championship (NRC).

The veteran rally driver announced his comeback to The Tanzania Times reporter in Moshi saying he targets to grab one of the three top positions at the end of the two-day motor racing event slated for Makuyuni ward of Monduli.

“We are back on the dusty road business as title contenders not as pushovers,” said Mandeep, one of the four members of the Harri Singh team from Kilimanjaro.

The sole entry from Tanga, Awadh Bafadhil said he has now joined the Harri Singh team to navigate Mandeep after guiding Waleed Nahdi who displayed splendid performance in the previous three rounds of this year’s National Rally Championship series in Tanga, Iringa and Morogoro.

“We worked together before and I believe he will do wonders in Arusha since he is one of the highly skilled drivers,” added Bafadhil.

A total of four Rally Drivers from Kilimanjaro will be spinning wheels in the NRC-4 Guru Nanak Rally in Arusha.

This is according to the event’s communication manager Janeth Lyatuu.

Apart from Mandeep, other Harri Singh team members are Gurjit, Ajminder and Rajpar Dhani.

Organised by Arusha Motor Sports Club (AMSC), Guru Nanak Rally will be officially flagged off on November 16 with a Super Special Stage (SSS) that will cover a distance of 67 kilometers.

On the second day flag off will see the cars covering 150 kilometres’ distance to make the two-day event reign as a 217 kilometers racing showdown.

The Guru Nanak Rally has also attracted motorists from Kenya, Uganda, Burundi and Zambia all of whom have so far confirmed their participation in the fourth round of National Rally Championships being staged in Arusha.
