Delegates will hold an open Town Hall meeting on the future strategic orientations of the Pan African Lawyers Union, where they will discuss, amongst other things, additional initiatives of PALU Envoys and Correspondents.

To increase visibility of the Pan African Lawyers Union within its six regions, the Union’s Executive Committee is also rolling out a scheme of PALU Envoys.

The Envoys will act as diplomatic representatives of the organisation, representing it within the 55 African countries, and also in the diaspora (the 6th region of Africa).

An Envoy will be appointed to cover either a country, or a region, or accredited to a key African institution such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African Development Bank (AfDB) and African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).

Again to boost the depth and diversity of content available to members within its 6 regions; the PALU Executive Committee is launching a scheme of PALU Correspondents.

The Correspondents will be tasked with generating content that can be published as news items in our Newsletters, blog posts and Journal articles; they are essentially going to be Geographic correspondents, overing a particular country, region or continent.
