Johari Rotana Hotel, a 5-star business property located along the Indian Ocean shoreline of Dar-es-salaam City. It is not among the nominees of the WTA awards.
This is the first time that Tanzania gets to host the World Travel Awards (WTA), albeit the Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony, where all the winners from the continent will be announced.
This year, Tanzania has a total of 50 nominated entries into the World Travel Awards in almost all categories.
Incumbent attractions such as Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Tanzania Tourist Board, Zanzibar and Ngorongoro Conservation are also lining up for the awards once more.
The WTA event of Dar-Es-Salaam will kick off at 19:00 hours in the evening of Saturday, June 28.
The main Gala Dinner and Ceremony starts at 20:00 hours and goes on for three hours as winners are awarded accolades until sometimes shortly before midnight when the entire event will draw into a close.
