Cabinet Secretary Namwamba returns to Sports with Promises for Kenyan Youths

Nairobi, Kenya.

For starters Cabinet Secretary for Youths Affairs, Sports and Arts, Ababu Namwamba has just reinstated the previously disbanded Football Federation of Kenya.

Now Namwamba who returns to the docket after serving in the same office during Mwai Kibaki’s regime, says he wants to transform the country’s arts and sports sector for the better.

Namwamba also promises more opportunities for active Kenyan youths.

CS Ababu Namwamba officially met with various heads of Departments within the docket that has seen various amendments since his swearing in as a cabinet secretary. 

The ministry, according to CS Namwamba has been very vibrant and he called upon members of his new team to adopt on his policy and mode of working that entails all hands on the deck, open door policy and spearing forward as a team.

“Am happy to be back at the ministry a docket I used to hold during the late President Kibaki’s regime and indeed we delivered to the people as per what was expected,” Says CS Ababu.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony PS Charles Sunkuli of state department Youth Affairs has welcomed the new Cabinet secretary and also took him round the ministry that is located at Kencom House Nairobi capital.

Few days earlier, the government minister claimed to have been able to create job opportunities for over one million Youths during the Kenya youth employment opportunity project with private sector stakeholders.

This comes few days after President Ruto commissioned the cabinet secretaries at statehouse and called upon the ministers to offer service to Kenya failure to do so would lead to sacking.
