Sudanese Premier appoints three new Cabinet Ministers

Three new Ministers have just been named in Sudan by the country’s transitional Premier.

Reports from Khartoum City reveal that the transitional Prime Minister of Sudan, Professor Kamil Idris, has made three new appointees.

Implementing the decision number 147 of 2025, the Sudanese Premier named new ministers to start serving in the Government of Hope.

According to an official release, the move is aimed at strengthening the country’s executive structure.

The new ministerial appointments in Sudan cover the dockets of Agriculture, Education, Health and Sciences.

In the new line up, Professor Ismat Qurashi Abdullah Muhammad has been appointed to become Sudan’s Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation.

On the other hand, Professor Ahmed Madawi Musa Muhammad was named the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

During the latest appointments, Professor Moaz Omar Bakheet Al-Awad was given the docket of Minister for Health.

The Prime Minister of Sudan, Kamil Idris, stated that these appointments followed a thorough assessment of competencies and expertise, with the goal of enhancing the government’s performance during the transitional phase.

The total number of Sudanese ministers that have been appointed so far has reached five.

The new selection of officials is a follow up to the earlier announcement in which the new Sudanese Defence and Interior Ministers were appointed.

However, Khartoum is yet to fill the slots of the remaining members of the country’s cabinet.

That means the country will be gradually filling the positions as the time goes by.

As far as observers are concerned, the step is being taken as part of the efforts to consolidate stability and complete the government structure, paving the way for the next stages of Sudan’s political process.
