Russian Army Escorts Tanzanian Students from Ukraine Via Belgorod

Tanzanian students that were still in Ukraine are now leaving the country under military escort from Russia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government in Moscow has created a safe passage route to all Tanzanian students currently at the Sumy State University, in Ukraine to leave Sumy area through Sudja and then into Russia.

Reports from diplomatic circles in Eastern Europe also confirms that Russian military is doing everything to ensure the peaceful evacuation of foreign nationals stranded in Ukraine.

Meanwhile the Tanzanian Embassy in Moscow directs that, the students in Ukraine must depart from the Sumy Estate Universy premises in groups.

The Russian Military forces have created a ‘safe corridor’ through which foreign students are to be vacated from Ukraine.

“Each group of students should bear Tanzania’s National Flag and will be accorded army escort by Russian Military once they get to the place called Sudja,” states a dispatch from the Moscow-based embassy.

Apparently there will be special reception teams located at Belgorod.

Belgorod is a city and the administrative center of Belgorod Oblast, Russia, located on the Seversky Donets River 40 kilometers north of the border with Ukraine.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry is also requesting parents and Tanzanian students in Ukraine to use the following phone numbers in case of any problem. The listed numbers are +79 267 666 228 (Dedicated to Whatsapp) and +255 759 068 937
