Old Man with a Hat: President Museveni Caps Letter to Kenya

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda is officially apologizing to Kenya and other East African countries for the statements issued by a high-ranking army officer who also happens to be his son.

Fresh after being promoted by his father, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba of the Uganda People Defense Forces wrote that he would attack Kenya and conquer the country’s capital city, Nairobi.

He boasted that all can be accomplished within less than a fortnight as the Kenyan army was weak compared to his own forces.

The son of the President also threatened to annex a large part of Kenya comprising of regions that he considers to be ‘rightfully’ belonging to Uganda.

He then went ahead to claim that the East African countries should be stitched together into single state and have his father, Museveni as its President.

Eight letters, three words, one meaning

President Museveni has just intervened, writing to ask forgiveness from residents of Kenya as well as other East African countries.

According to Museveni, he has also privately written to President William Ruto of Kenya expressing sorrow after what his son did.

However, despite the horrid outbursts that his son made against Kenya, on social media platforms, the President of Uganda also took time to throw in a paragraph defending General Muhoozi.

Museveni claims that what his son wrote, was just one negative act, in his side, the rest are all positive.

The Ugandan Head of State goes further to assert that, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba was a ‘True pan Africanist.’
