Namibia Defence Force takes aboard six foreign army Attachés

THE Chief of the Namibian Defence Forces, Air Marshal Martin Kambulu Pine, has just accredited six Defence Attachés and Advisers to Namibia.

Taking aboard foreign​ army Attachés to the Namibian Defence Forces (NDF), is a move taken to reaffirm the country’s commitment to international military cooperation.

The newly accredited Defence Attachés and Advisers includes the Navy Captain Marcelo De Abreu Souza from the Federative Republic of Brazil and Commodore Samuel Walker of the Republic of Ghana.

Others on the list are Colonel (Mar) Guntur Almasyil from the Republic of Indonesia, Colonel Franco Linzalone of the Republic of Italy and Colonel Gerard Conor O’Hara holder of the ‘Order of British Empire, (OBE) from the United Kingdom, aa well as Lieutenant Colonel Margot Cunningham from the United States of America.

The Namibian Air Marshal Martin Kambulu Pine has highlighted the importance of collaborative military efforts among nations and international organisations, pointing out that it was vital in today’s complex global environment.

The Chief of Namibian Defence Forces stressed further that military partnerships are essential to maintaining global peace and preventing conflict and instability.

The CDF of Namibia further noted that defence diplomacy and robust international relations serve as effective and peaceful means of advancing global security, stability, and cooperation.

Pine has also assured the newly accredited Attachés and Advisers of the Namibia Defence Forces (NDF)’s full support and cooperation throughout their assignments in the country.
