Robbie Williams plans new Album ‘Britpop’ in September. Rocky Single ‘Rocket,’ leads the way
Fresh from his recently released ‘Better Man’ biographical musical drama feature, Robbie Williams is now announcing a fresh and brand-new studio album, coming out in September 2025.
The latest pop and rock compilation, to be known as ‘Britpop,’ is his first outing in almost six years, will be released this autumn but is also available for pre-order now from the Official Store.
Williams is the former member of the popular Take That the British boyband, from Manchester, a famous group which has also produced other top pop stars like Gary Barlow and Mark Owen.
Robbie has even teased the running single from his highly anticipated new album, Britpop.
The track is known as ‘Rocket,’ featuring a legendary guitarist from Black Sabbath, Tony Lommi on strings. He is yet to announce when the single will be out, but likely to be soon.
“I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual,” says William.
The talented Big Bob famous for hits like ‘Angels,’ ‘Millennium,’ and ‘Feel,’ recons that there’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’ too and that he is immensely proud of the new Long-Playing as a body of work.
“And I’m excited for fans to hear this album. I also can’t wait to perform a song or two from it on my upcoming ‘BRITPOP’ tour, which will be opening in the United Kingdom, naturally,” Robbie Williams maintained.
It is still not known who his collaborators are in the latest works, because critics have always claimed that the only time Robbie Williams made good music was during his partnership with producer Guy Chambers, who made the first four albums for him.
‘Life Through a Lens,’ ‘I ve been expecting you,’ ‘Sing when you are winning,’ and ‘Escapology,’ remain Robbie Williams best albums to date.
