Moil Racing Team from Uganda Returns to defend Tanzanian Crown at Guru Nanak Rally in Arusha

Moil, the Ugandan motor racing team will be the first to take off from base during the fourth round of Tanzania’s National Rally Championship 2024 which gets flagged off in Arusha from the 16th of November this year.

Driver Yassin Nasser and his navigator Ally Katumba will be the first off ramp spinning the wheels in their hyper fast Ford R5, the car that earned them victory in the third round of the National Rally Championship held in Morogoro last month.

The fourth round which officially goes as another instalment of Guru Nanak Rally in Arusha, Northern Tanzania, raises dust for two consecutive days of November 16 and 17, 2024.

The Motor Racing event circles around Makuyuni precinct of Monduli District which will be serving as the main center of the spectacular actions especially during the second day of the 217 kilometers racing event.

The entry list provided by the event’s communication manager, Janeth Lyatuu shows Randeep Birdi from Dar es Salaam will be the second to leave the ramp in Mitsubishi Evo 9 and will be navigated by Manmeet Birdi.      

His brother Manveer Birdi, also in Mitsubishi Evolution 9 will be flagged off third ahead of Gurpal Sandhu and Dave Sihoka in Mitsubishi Evolution X.

Arusha’s Vishal Patel in Subaru Impreza is scheduled to leave fifth ahead of Charles Bicco and David Matete, in Subaru Impreza N12.

Also listed in the race is Ahmed Huwel from Iringa who will be guided by Rahim Suleiman in Ford Proto, Samir Nahdi who will be navigated by Maisam Fazal also in Ford Proto.

Ian Duncan in Nissan Pick Up will be the Ninth to depart from base ahead of Gurjit Dhani in Skoda Fabia, Ajminder Dhani in Subaru Impreza, Rajpar Dhani in Subaru Impreza and Amandeep Dhani also in Subaru Impreza

The surprise motorist this time is Jamil Shabhai, who was a very popular driver two decades ago and now comes back to be counted making a fresh re-entry, driving a Subaru Impreza.

Arusha Motor Sports Club is the organizer of the two-day dusty road showdown which is bankrolled by Sikh Community.
