“Hallo?” When former German Chancellor Angela Merkel phoned Tanzanian President Samia

German’s former Chancellor, Angela Merkel and Tanzanian President, Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan kicked off the first day of September in 2021, with a long-distance phone call. But what did the two ladies talk about?

The official statement which was released from the State House in Dar-es-salaam, indicated that the conversation started on a congratulatory note.

It seems chancellor Merkel was yet to compliment Mama Samia Suluhu, since the latter become the new Head of State…

…therefore, through the phone call, the Chancellor applauded the 6th President of Tanzania.

The Media Release, was signed and dispatched by Jaffar Haniu, the Head of Communications at the State House in Dar-es-Salaam.

The German leader conveyed belated condolence to President Samia Suluhu, following the demise of former Head of State, here predecessor, Dr John Pombe Magufuli, who passed away last March, 2021.

German’s first female chancellor, Angela Merkel, lauded Tanzania’s first female President Samia Suluhu, for improving the business environment in the country…

.. as well as strengthening diplomatic relations, thus encouraging investors and investments to Tanzania.

Chancellor Merkel later explained that her Government has hatched fresh negotiations with Tanzania on how the two countries can execute new five-year Development and Cooperation Programs which sails from 2021 to 2024.

On her part, President Samia Suluhu lauded Chancellor Merkel for being the longest serving leader in the Christian Democratic Union Party, as well as completing her term successfully.
