Air Tanzania tables ticket prices with Airline Planning five flights per week between Dar and Johannesburg

The National Carrier of Tanzania has released the ticket pricing for the soon to start new flight between Dar-es-salaam and Johannesburg as Air Tanzania revives routes to South Africa.

Air Tanzania will be flying between Julius Kambarage Nyerere International Airport (JKNIA) its home base in Dar-es-salaam to Oliver R. Tambo International Airport of Johannesburg from the 30th day of November 2024.

Obviously Air Tanzania must be taking the advantage of Christmas Rush when many South Africans fly North, mostly to Zanzibar Islands for the end of year holidays, while others sample the mainland beaches of Dar-es-Salaam and the Nairobi City life.

The flights between Dar-es-Salaam and Gauteng will be taking place five times a week throughout the New Year 2025 and beyond, if all goes well for the state carrier whose performance still leaves a lot to be desired.

“Get ready to explore the vibrant city of Johannesburg with Air Tanzania! Starting from 30th November 2024, we’re bringing you 5 weekly flights from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg,” announces Air Tanzania promotion advert, posted through the Airline’s channels.

According to the Airline, with its tag line ‘The Wings of Kilimanjaro,’ travel Days to and from Johannesburg will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Of course, this timetable is subject to change as time goes by.

Return Journey fairs between Tanzania and South Africa start at USD 479 with up to eight pieces extra Baggage Allowance with Twiga Miles, Double Points.

“Whether you’re flying Economy or Business Class, we’ve got you covered with amazing perks and comfort!” claims Air Tanzania.

The Tanzanian flag carrier so far flies to DR Congo, Kenya and Zambia among its international destinations while offering cargo services to as far as China and India.

In the past, during the airline’s good times, that is in the 80s and early 90s, Air Tanzania used to fly to London in the United Kingdom.
