There is a suspected major oil spill spotted across the field in the gulf of Hamada in Libya.
A number of Leaked aerial images of pictures possibly taken by a drone or photographer flying over the precinct have revealed significant oil spill from possibly a ruptured pipeline in the Gulf of Hamada.

From the photos circulating online, a dark river of oil can be spotted snaking across the desert.
Available information claims the disaster was captured at approximately 30 kilometers from the Rayyanah area.
The photos have however not been independently verified, at least yet.
There are still no official reports regarding the suspected oil spill in the Libyan Desert, but should the pipelines be involved then chances are they belong to the National Oil Company which has established operations in the area.
A similar incident occurred in 2022 when a video footage revealed another crude oil spill also from a suspected Ruptured Pipeline drenching the Libyan Desert.
Authorities in Libya explained the incident saying a pipeline rupture was indeed spewing thousands of barrels of oil into the desert as workers scramble to stop the leak.
During that time, the damage occurred in a land pipeline connecting the Sarir oil field to the Tobruk terminal in eastern Libya
