There are also the cinematic features like ‘Bedroom Chains’, a Ugandan feature film set in 1980, where the protagonist, Natalia, returns from exile only to confront the brutal treatment of women, stirring painful memories of her past.

Their evolution into NW Plus TV was a natural next step, a “petri dish” to nurture and spotlight Africa’s burgeoning film industry and local talent.
One of the founders Muthoni Waigwa reflects, that sharing that their journey into entrepreneurship was inspired by their enterprising, pioneering mother and that reaching a decade in business called for a new challenge, resulting in the birth of NW Plus TV.
