United Kingdom is now recognizing Covid-19 Vaccination Certificates issued in Tanzania and accepting them from travellers upon arrival in Britain effective from the first day of November 2021 henceforth.

A statement from the British High Commission in Dar-es-salaam affirmed that Vaccination Documents from Tanzania are now recognized in Britain though also subject to Criteria.

“Travellers from Tanzania to UK will no longer need to quarantine or Self-Isolate after proving their Vaccination Status,” reads part of the release.

Last Month, Tanzania was taken off the UK Red List.

The remaining seven countries that were still on the dreaded UK Red List of travel restriction have now also been ‘set free’ from clamp.

The final seven countries have been removed from the international travel red list, meaning travellers to the UK from those destinations will no longer have to stay in hotel quarantine for 10 days on arrival.

This decision applies to arrivals from Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

In addition, vaccine certificates from other 35 countries and territories will be recognised to allow quarantine-free travel to Scotland. This list will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Apart from Tanzania, the other 34 countries and territories that have been added to the eligible vaccinated traveller policy are:

Angola, Anguilla, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Djibouti, Eswatini, Gibraltar, Guyana, Honduras, Lebanon, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nepal, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda and Uruguay.

But, despite all countries being removed from the UK red list, the country’s policy continues with some managed quarantine capacity staying in place for Scotland.
